Beyond the Exhibition: My Experience with Agora Gallery

This summer, I had the pleasure of exhibiting Last Glance at Agora Gallery in New York as part of the 40th Chelsea International Fine Art Competition.   Although the painting did not find a new home during the exhibition, the experience itself left a very positive impression on me. From the beginning, the Agora team was remarkably organized and attentive. Every stage of the process - artwork selection, shipping, presentation, promotion, and eventually the return of the painting - was handled by people who clearly knew their role and were always available to help. As an artist, it is unusual and genuinely reassuring to [...]

Helpful Yellow Boots selected for The Modern Portrait at Site:Brooklyn Gallery

Fiorenza Gorini’s painting Helpful Yellow Boots has been selected for The Modern Portrait, an online exhibition presented by Site:Brooklyn Gallery in New York and juried by art critic and poet Theadora Walsh. The exhibition brings together contemporary approaches to portraiture and considers how the modern portrait reflects not only the identity of its subject, but also the individual perspective of the artist. In her curatorial statement, Walsh traces this evolution from traditional portraiture toward representations shaped by interior life, self-determination, and the subjectivity of both sitter and painter. Site:Brooklyn Gallery Helpful Yellow Boots appears in the exhibition section “The Female Subject,” which looks [...]

Interior Twin Selected for The Art of Now: Pushing Boundaries

I am delighted to share that my painting Interior Twin has been selected for The Art of Now: Pushing Boundaries, a juried exhibition presented by the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild. The exhibition was curated by Max Presneill, Executive Director and Chief Curator of the Torrance Art Museum, and attracted submissions from artists throughout California. From more than 600 submitted artworks, 72 artists were selected for inclusion. The exhibition will be held at Union Hall Gallery in San Diego from June 5 through June 28, 2026. What makes this recognition especially meaningful to me is that Interior Twin is one of my most unconventional works. While much of my recent practice [...]

Thank You for Visiting Fiorenza at Silicon Valley Open Studios 2026

Thank you to everyone who visited me during Silicon Valley Open Studios 2026 in Menlo Park! It was a beautiful weekend of art, conversations, familiar faces, new collectors, and generous curiosity. I loved welcoming visitors into the booth, sharing recent work, and speaking with so many people about the ideas, colors, figures, and memories that move through my paintings. This year’s presentation brought together several directions in my work, from expressive figurative pieces to more dreamlike and abstract compositions. The booth became a small temporary studio-gallery: a place where people could move closely through the work, ask questions, and spend time with individual paintings. Several works [...]

A Month of Exhibitions, a Prize, and a Sale!

It’s been a really encouraging month for my work, and I wanted to share a quick update about three exhibitions I’ve recently been part of, including one award and one sale that made the experience even more meaningful.   IN THE ABSTRACT — ONLINE JURIED EXHIBITION My piece was selected for In the Abstract, an online juried show focused on artists exploring form, rhythm, and non-figurative language.   This exhibition gave me space to show a more experimental work, and I loved seeing how different artists approached abstraction from completely different angles. Event link   San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild — International Juried Exhibition This was a highlight: my [...]

Exposing my Notan studies at QD Gallery in Stanford, CA

I am very excited to have some of my work represented by the beautiful QD Gallery at Stanford Shopping Center !   About QD Gallery The gallery is located right next to Pottery Barn off Sandhill Rd. and El Camino and showcases the beautiful creations of over 30 artists. The gallery owner and director, Jesse Nguyen, is himself an artist, and named the gallery QD after his Vietnamese initials, which uses as a signature on his mixed-media paintings and drawings. I was introduced to Jesse by a dear fellow painter and also mentor, Raymond Mendieta, who is one of the artists showcased at QD. Jesse selected four [...]

Dart for Art 2022

Yesterday I went to the reception of a fundraising event, Dart for Art by Lymelight Foundation in Burlingame, CA.     It felt so nice to be back to a live event with cool people, a delicious buffet, cocktails and... without wearing a face mask!!!     The event was packed, but is not too late to bid ("dart") for a piece of art: tickets are still available and can be purchased here.       [...]
